This is our first blog post on our new family blog. It’s going to be focused on the Army life, particularly the challenges and adventures of an overseas move.

Nick is a US Army Captain in the Signal Corps. Prior to joining the Army he worked as the Midday News Director and Senior Editor at a CBS affiliate (KEYC) for three years, and then as a 911 Dispatcher for the Mankato Police Department\Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office in Mankato, MN.

Hillary worked as a Direct Support Professional for the Harry Meyering Center prior to Nick joining the Army, and now runs Four Twigs, our photography business.

We were married in 2008, and have four children under the age of 7. We have been stationed at Fort Gordon, GA (twice), Fort Sill, OK, and Fort Bliss, TX. We are in the process of moving to Camp Humphreys, Korea. While there we found some helpful blogs about moving to Korea in general, none were focused on military families, and not many were recently updated. We aim to fix that! Stick around, as we’ll both be documenting our travels and what worked and didn’t work for us.
