n Even though we were still settling in at Camp Humphreys we thought it would be good to get out of the hotel and do something fun. We met up with our sponsor family at Osan Air Force Base to see an air show.
We got their right as they were starting the opening ceremony. They had several people parachuting with different colored streamers, one with the American flag and another with the Korean flag.
We grabbed a bit to eat at one of the many concession stands and found a nice grassy place somewhat in the shade to sit, eat, and enjoy the show. We had some tasty BBQ pork sandwiches and the children had hot dogs and chips.
The first plane to take the sky was a massive C-17 Globemaster III.
After what seemed like forever in between aircraft a ROK jet came in.
The kids were getting tired of sitting and waiting around between each air craft so we decided to walk around and let the kids check out the different air crafts that they had on display.
They got to sit in a Black Hawk cockpit and see the many switched and knobs. Kids thought it was pretty cool to sit in the cock pit of one blank.
Here are a few that we saw as we were walking out.
Overall we were a bit disappointed in the show. It started pretty late, and the time between planes was way too long for kids to stay interested. It was a beautiful day though, and we still enjoyed being out and about!
